Rebecca Elliott

Rebecca’s retro modern style illustrations in Happy Hooves, Ta Dah! work perfectly with the traditional animal set-up in the story. Her unique drawings are jaw-droppingly gorgeous and invite you to dive into the story on every page. Rebecca is internationally published and when she isn’t writing or drawing she is looking after her three beautiful children.

Rebecca’s story…
“I’ve been daydreaming and doodling for as long as I can remember and after a random degree in Philosophy and a dull office job I have been lucky enough to daydream and doodle professionally since 2002. Since then I have written and illustrated many picture books including Milo’s Pet Egg, The Last Tiger, Zoo Girl, Naked Trevor, Cub’s First Winter, and Just Because and Sometimes which feature my own children. Though my styles and subject-matter radically change from project to project I always have one aim in mind – to produce unique books that excite, move and amuse younglings, hopefully inspiring them to yell, “Read it again!” as soon as they get to the end. I live in sunny Suffolk with my fellow day-dreamers; history-teaching husband Matthew, two crazy boys Toby and Benjamin and one beautiful disabled daughter Clementine.”
